AndrĂ© and Ela got a taxi to the airport at 6:30 and we got one at 9. I gave some left over food to a hungry dog on the way. Now for a day waiting in Airports. The first flight scheduled for 10:50 left an hour late. Long wait in Makassar. Late take off again for Denpasa,  Bali, scheduled for 16:10 arrival. I'm tired of waiting in airports now!! We got a taxi to Ubud, nearly two hour drive. What a lovely place. Had mojitos. Then dinner with wine and rice wine. My phone fell when buying ice-cream and my screen cracked :( 1 Dec 2108 Out hotel is lovely. We got coffee in town, then had a health breakfast where we met Anna from Poland. She was great. Spent the day shopping in the markets and having lunch. Dog entertainment My beautiful vegetarian lunch  We are now at the airport waiting for our flight home. Sad, but looking forward to seeing family and dogs. We just got upgraded to Business class!! I can only just reach...

27th Nov The accommodation was lovely. A wooden house built out over the sea. We had a shared porch leading to two identical bedrooms. View out bedroom window There were four puppies to keep me entertained and a thin mother dog to feed at meals. Boardwalk to our cottage We walked to the local village but they didn't have beer. 28 Nov Roy and I woke at 4:30 (as I'm sure Andre and Ela did as the wooden house moves a lot). The puppy had walked the long boardwalk and was on our patio. As the edges dropped to the water, I took him back to land, but he was soon on the patio again. After a third attempt I left him sitting on my sandals. We were off up the hill behind to find the bird of paradise with our guide and another two guests from Romania. In the forest we found the bird, high up in a tree. Roy had shown me photos of a bird doing a display on the ground, and said we were going to see these. So I sat waiting for it to come down... He later realised and to...

After breakfast on the boat we were taken to shore and got two taxis, first to buy beer and then to the jetty where we bought VIP tickets (only difference was getting Aircon) and caught the nearly two hour ferry back to Waisai, where we had just come from. Then we found Rufus (everyone here at Rufus says yes if you ask them if they are Rufus) and got a speed boat to our private island (nearly two hour journey). It's a lagoon with a tiny entrance.. Entering the lagoon Home for the next three nights View from our room We spent the afternoon chilling in Andre and Ela's hut, watching the baby black tips and fish swim around the steps. Whiskey, red wine and sunsets. It was good to slow down. We spent the second day chatting, reading, snorkeling and drinking on Ela and Andre's deck, still feeding the fish and small black tip sharks. I talked Roy into swimming from the jetty, around half the island to the entrance. The current was strong around the...

Not so much drinking.. we aren't allowed to dive if we drink even a beer :( We get woken at 6 each morning for first breakfast and first dive.  Then second breakfast and second dive. Lunch. Then afternoon dive. On the 19th, we dived the following sites: - Friwen island - Citrus ridge - Gam ridge Wobbegong shark Black tip reef shark Box fish? They remind me of Staffies the way they look and behave. On the 20th we dived "Why Pretty Shallow, then the famous "Melissa's garden". The afternoon dive was at Yebben. We fed the sharks... And then went for a night dive at Keruo. No sharks :) On the 21 we did "My reef" for morning dive and then "Melissa's garden" again. For the afternoon dive we did Keruo channel. And for fun, we walked up to the viewpoint which was truly awesome. And th...
