Sat 25th - 27th Nov - Rufus

After breakfast on the boat we were taken to shore and got two taxis, first to buy beer and then to the jetty where we bought VIP tickets (only difference was getting Aircon) and caught the nearly two hour ferry back to Waisai, where we had just come from.

Then we found Rufus (everyone here at Rufus says yes if you ask them if they are Rufus) and got a speed boat to our private island (nearly two hour journey).
It's a lagoon with a tiny entrance..

Home for the next three nights

View from our room

We spent the afternoon chilling in Andre and Ela's hut, watching the baby black tips and fish swim around the steps.

Whiskey, red wine and sunsets.

It was good to slow down. We spent the second day chatting, reading, snorkeling and drinking on Ela and Andre's deck, still feeding the fish and small black tip sharks. I talked Roy into swimming from the jetty, around half the island to the entrance. The current was strong around the corners and we had to paddle hard. Near the entrance we saw a turtle and black tip shark.
On the last full day we again snorkelled and walked up to the lookout deck which shows just how beautiful the island is.

We drank 'lime cocktail" that Ela made with their 95% alcohol and one lime. Was good.

Last swim

On the 27th Nov, one of the Rufus family took us by boat to our next stay at Weigo. Wei boat transfers were 2,500,000 each way, a lot more than the accommodation.
