Tue 30 Oct Borneo Rain Forest Lodge

Good morning. We had a bird sleeping at our window last night. Couldn't see it but sounded busy like a chicken, talking away whene'er we moved. Was gone this morning.

From our room

We have the red leaf monkeys in the trees this morning.

The morning was spent walking to the platform on the top of the hill we can see from the lodge. A hot, sweaty walk through the jungle.
The platform, zoomed in from yesterday's picture
Our lodge from the platform

Leech!

We saw millipedes, a big green lizzard, fire ants, a hammerhead worm,  mushrooms and a waterfall.

One of the millipedes

Hammerhead worm that eats snails

We swam in a river with biting fish which was surprisingly sore just before it poured down with rain and we walked the last bit, soaking wet.

Not my toes, I kept moving so they onko bit me once

After lunch and a short snooze we went tubing down the river which was peaceful. Srill need to get the photos off Roy's phone.

How creepy was this. Roy noticed a leech hanging below our toilet seat. Nooooo!!

Sundowners on the deck after seeing a wild pigs at the lodge.

Roy rescued a bug at dinner.
Huge rhino beetle
We saw so many things on our night walk. Tarantula, frogs, mouse deer, civit, lantern insect, snails.
Cicado, which sing such a beautiful song (unlike ours)

Shed skin of a tarantula we saw

How cute is this little moth I photographed on my way to bed..
